Agartala, December 9, 2025: Tripura’s BJP Janajati Morcha leader and state secretary Bipin Debbarma on Tuesday asserted that Tipra Motha’s departure from the Autonomous District Council (ADC) in 2026 is inevitable. He alleged that the recent attacks on BJP workers are proof of Motha’s weakening position in the state.

Addressing a press conference, Debbarma announced that a mega joining rally will be organized by the BJP Janajati Morcha on December 13 in front of Rabindra Bhavan, Agartala. He said thousands of tribal people from across districts are expected to join the BJP during the event. “More than 5,000 tribals from nearly all districts will participate. This will demonstrate that the tribal community now sees the BJP as the alternative force,” Debbarma stated.

Responding to questions from journalists, Debbarma accused Tipra Motha of resorting to violence as its popularity declines. “Their workers are continuously attacking BJP cadres. This shows that Motha is losing ground and is using violence as a political weapon to survive,” he said.

Debbarma emphasized that the BJP is not intimidated by such attacks and will continue its struggle through democratic means. “Rowdy politics cannot sustain power in the state. The BJP will fight back democratically,” he added.
