Agartala, December 13, 2025: Tripura BJP President and Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee launched a sharp attack on rival political forces, accusing them of attempting to deprive tribal communities of their right to education through “fascist tactics.”

Speaking at a mass joining programme organized by the BJP Janajati Morcha in front of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan premises here in Agartala city on Saturday, Bhattacharjee alleged that certain parties were deliberately keeping tribal communities occupied with issues such as Thansa and Greater Tipraland so that they could not focus on education and self-reliance. Without naming Tipra Motha, he expressed strong resentment against the party’s approach.

Bhattacharjee pointed out that even during periods when Tripura had tribal leaders serving as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, no significant initiatives were taken to strengthen the education system. “Tribal communities were used for political purposes while being kept away from opportunities in education,” he said.

Emphasizing the importance of education, Bhattacharjee remarked, “The greatest need of tribal youth today is education. Without education, holistic development of society is impossible. Proper steps must be taken to bring them back into the light of learning.”

He further highlighted that the BJP government has introduced multiple schemes aimed at uplifting tribal communities. According to him, tribal brothers and sisters have resolved to win all 28 seats in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and form the government there.
