Agartala, December 25, 2025: On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee on Wednesday paid floral tributes at the Sadaiv Atal memorial in New Delhi, remembering the towering leader for his ideals, patriotism and visionary leadership.
After offering his respects, Bhattacharjee said he felt honoured to pay tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on this special occasion. “I consider myself fortunate to bow before the memorial of Atalji today. His ideals, unwavering patriotism and strong leadership will continue to inspire the people of the country for generations to come,” he said.
Highlighting Vajpayee’s enduring legacy, the Tripura BJP president noted that the former Prime Minister’s birth anniversary is observed every year as Good Governance Day. “In keeping with this tradition, several programmes have been organised this year across the country and will continue till December 31. The journey of taking the nation forward on the path of development and good governance will go on by following the vision shown by Atalji,” Bhattacharjee added.
Meanwhile, the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also observed with due respect at the Tripura Pradesh BJP office. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, Minister Tinku Roy and several senior BJP leaders and workers paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha described Atal Bihari Vajpayee as “a worthy son of Mother India and a staunch nationalist leader.” He said, “Atalji’s thoughts, which serve as a guiding light for millions of party workers, continue to inspire us at every step.”
The Chief Minister further remarked that Vajpayee, through his value-based politics, ushered in a new era of development and good governance in the country. “He laid a strong foundation for inclusive growth and transparent governance, which remains relevant even today,” Dr. Saha said.
On the occasion, a book authored by a member of the BJP state committee on the life and contributions of Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, marking a fitting tribute to the former Prime Minister’s enduring legacy.
