Agartala, September 13, 2025: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan posted at Chitabari Camp in Sabroom died under mysterious circumstances on Saturday morning, leaving his colleagues and officials in shock.

The deceased has been identified as Lalu Murmu, a jawan of the BSF’s 121st Battalion, hailing from Odisha. According to sources, Murmu reportedly collapsed suddenly after returning from the toilet inside the camp. Fellow jawans rushed to his aid, administered first aid, and immediately shifted him to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital.

However, the attending doctor, Dr. Pritam Das, declared him brought dead. The cause of death remains unclear.

Hospital authorities have informed the local police, and the body has been kept at the Sabroom Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
