Tripura: BSF Seizes 100 Kg Ganja, Contraband Worth ₹7.62 Lakh Along Indo-Bangladesh Border

Agartala, Feb 25: The Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier seized 100 kg of ganja worth ₹5 lakh near the Kamlasagar border outpost along the Indo-Bangladesh border on February 25, 2025. The consignment was allegedly intended for smuggling into Bangladesh.

Additionally, in the intervening night of February 23-24, BSF personnel foiled multiple smuggling attempts along the border, recovering contraband items, including ganja, Phensedyl, sugar, rice, and firecrackers, with a total estimated value of ₹7.62 lakh.

The BSF has strengthened surveillance measures along the border to curb smuggling activities.
