The Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier has successfully intercepted several smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh Border, resulting in the seizure of contraband valued at ₹28,27,140.
On December 25, 2024, BSF personnel at Border Outpost (BOP) Harihardola seized a vehicle transporting clothing items worth ₹19,00,600, intended for smuggling into Bangladesh.
In a separate operation during the night of December 24-25, BSF Tripura recovered 1,200 Yaba tablets, valued at ₹12,00,000, also meant for illegal transport to Bangladesh.
Earlier operations also led to the seizure of Ganja, sugar, and rice worth ₹7,26,540. These successful operations reflect the BSF’s continued efforts to curb illegal smuggling and maintain border security in Tripura.
