Tripura: BSF Seizes Contraband Worth ₹6.5 Lakh, Foils Major Smuggling Attempts

In a series of successful operations, the Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier intercepted several smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh Border, recovering contraband items worth ₹6,58,200. The seized goods included cattle, ganja, sugar, liquor, and other illegal substances.

In a major operation at the Bedbagan Check Post in Ambassa, BSF, in collaboration with Customs and Police officials, intercepted a vehicle carrying 270 cartons of Oris cigarettes valued at approximately ₹2.5 crore. One suspect was apprehended during the operation, marking a significant success in the fight against cross-border smuggling.
