Agartala, Dec 19: The Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier successfully intercepted multiple smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband worth ₹16,23,557. The seizures included a range of illegal goods such as ganja, phensedyl, rice, sugar, firecrackers, and the rescue of cattle.
In the first operation, BSF personnel confiscated contraband worth ₹7,93,600, including ganja, rice, and sugar, and rescued smuggled cattle. A follow-up operation led to the recovery of phensedyl, firecrackers, and additional rice, valued at ₹8,29,957. These operations underscore the BSF’s ongoing efforts to secure the border and prevent illegal activities.
