Agartala, November 21, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has strongly condemned the recent political clashes in Khumulwng, describing the incident as “undesirable” and warning that violent politics will not be tolerated in the state.

Reacting to the outbreak of violence, Dr. Saha said such incidents have historically plagued regions where communist parties have held power, including West Bengal and Kerala. He stressed that while everyone has the right to engage in politics, destructive practices such as arson and vandalism of homes and party offices are unacceptable to the people.

The Chief Minister announced that he would personally visit the site of the incident and assured that legal action would follow. “Politics should never be about burning offices or destroying houses. The public will not accept this,” he stated.

Addressing reports of clashes with ally parties, Dr. Saha urged restraint and a return to democratic norms. “There is still time. Those who are straying from the right path must understand this is not acceptable. We do not want this kind of politics. I have visited Bihar, and nowhere do we see such practices,” he said.

He further warned that attempts to impose a “jungle raj” in Tripura would be rejected by the people. “Even in Bihar, such politics does not exist. No one can survive in any place through force or coercion,” Dr. Saha added.
