Agartala, September 26, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday attended the appointment letter distribution ceremony for General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) and Librarians at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala city.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said, “It takes years of dedication and hard work to become a doctor, and even after that, one has to clear several examinations to secure employment.” He emphasized that the present government has already created employment opportunities and remains committed to filling existing vacancies.

The Chief Minister urged the newly appointed candidates never to forget their roots and to always remember the sacrifices of their parents. Highlighting the significance of librarians in the education system, he remarked, “No school can function properly without librarians.”

Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Health Services Director Dr. Tapan Majumder, NHM Mission Director Saju Wahid, and several senior officials were also present on the occasion.
