Agartala, November 13, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Thursday virtually inaugurated 48 new residential quarters and 10 newly constructed Ayushman Arogya Mandirs at Dhalai District Hospital, marking a significant boost to the region’s healthcare infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Harachandra H.S. School ground in Kamalpur.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dhalai Zilla Parishad Chairperson Smt. Sushmita Das, MLAs Shri Manoj Kanti Deb and Smt. Swapna Das Paul. Special guests included Ambassa Municipal Council Chairperson Smt. Pratima Malakar, Ambassa RD Block Chairperson Shri Parimal Debbarma, Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Shri Kiran Gitte, and Dhalai District Magistrate Shri Vivek Y.B.
The 10 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been strategically established under two administrative zones. Under the Ambassa Primary Health Centre, the facilities are located at Lalchhari, Balaram, Kamalachhara, Shikaribari, and Ghantachhara. Under the Kamalpur Subdivision, the Mandirs are situated in Halhali, Srirampur, Paschim Lambuchhara, Dabbari, and Chankap.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare at the grassroots level. “Ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all is our top priority. These new facilities will open new avenues for primary healthcare in the district,” he said.
He further noted that the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will provide enhanced services to rural populations, including free diagnostics and treatment, thereby strengthening the state’s public health delivery system.
