Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha Meets Prime Minister, Congratulates Him on 12 Years of Public Service

Agartala, May 27, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and extended his heartfelt congratulations on the completion of 12 years of dedicated public service under his leadership.

During the meeting, Dr. Saha praised the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership and said the country has witnessed transformative changes across various sectors over the past decade. He highlighted flagship initiatives such as Digital India, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ayushman Bharat, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, stating that these schemes have significantly improved the lives of millions while contributing towards the vision of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

The Chief Minister further remarked that India has made remarkable strides in infrastructure development and that the country’s global standing has strengthened considerably under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Apart from extending greetings, Dr. Saha also discussed a wide range of development-related issues concerning Tripura during the meeting. Key matters raised included the establishment of an AIIMS in the state, expansion of the National Highway from Kamalpur to Santirbazar, development of the dairy sector, enhancement of sports infrastructure, implementation of double-line railway tracks, and the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express in the state.

The discussions also covered employment generation in the technology sector, tourism development, Finance Department-related matters, increasing the allocation of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, expansion of Eklavya Model Residential Schools, increasing AAY ration cards for the Bru community, and enhancing the allocation of natural gas to the state.

Expressing optimism after the meeting, Dr. Saha said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, Tripura’s holistic development and public welfare initiatives would gain further momentum through coordinated efforts between the Centre and the State governments.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the BJP’s recent electoral success in West Bengal, describing it as a reflection of the people’s trust in his leadership and pro-people governance.

In addition, detailed discussions were held regarding organizational matters and strategies to further strengthen the party at the grassroots level in Tripura. Issues relating to economic development, good governance, and organizational strengthening were also deliberated upon during the meeting.
