Agartala, September 6, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to review the prevailing traffic congestion in Agartala city and directed officials to take immediate measures to ensure smooth vehicular movement ahead of Durga Puja.
Dr. Saha emphasized that traffic management must be given top priority during the festive season, as thousands of people are expected to throng the city streets. “Steps should be initiated without delay to make Agartala traffic-free before Durga Puja,” he told officials during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Inspector General of Police Anurag, Secretaries Abhishek Singh and Kiran Gitte, West District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Traffic SP Kanta Jangir, West District SP Namit Pathak and other senior officials.
