Agartala, September 13, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued attention towards the Northeast, saying that no Prime Minister before him has shown such dedication to the region.
Speaking on Modi’s current visit to Manipur, Saha remarked that the state’s situation has improved and underlined that the Prime Minister has visited the Northeast more than 60 times since assuming office.
The Chief Minister further informed that Modi is scheduled to visit Tripura on September 22. During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly developed Mata Tripura Sundari Temple complex at Udaipur and also perform puja there.
Highlighting the significance of the temple, Saha said the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple is among the 51 Shakti Peeths in the world. He noted that the development of the temple complex has been carried out in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of preserving cultural heritage.
The upcoming visit is expected to give a boost to religious tourism in Tripura while also highlighting the Centre’s emphasis on infrastructure development and promotion of traditional heritage in the state.
