Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha Sanctions Aid of ₹1.20 lakh for Deceased Migrant Worker’s Family

Agartala, September 06, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has extended immediate support to the family of Yadav Sutradhar, a resident of Durgapur in Kailashahar under Unakoti district, who died in Mumbai earlier this week.

Sutradhar, the son of Dhirendra Sutradhar and employed as a driver, suffered a fatal stroke on September 3 while at work in Maharashtra’s capital. On learning of the incident, the Chief Minister instructed officials to take urgent steps to assist the bereaved family.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Tripura government coordinated with the office of the Maharashtra Chief Minister and other concerned authorities to ensure the safe return of the mortal remains to Kailashahar.

Dr. Saha also sanctioned financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to cover expenses for transporting the body from Mumbai to his hometown.

Officials said this swift action by the Chief Minister has provided much-needed relief to the grieving family during their time of loss.
