Agartala, July 01, 2025: In a bid to boost Tripura’s tourism potential and place the state firmly on the global travel map, the Tripura Tourism Department has embarked on a series of infrastructure development initiatives. As part of this drive, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will soon lay the foundation stone for multiple tourism projects worth ₹18 crore.

Among the key initiatives is the complete renovation and upgradation of the Kasba View Lodge, formerly known as Comilla View Tourist Lodge, located within the sacred complex of the Kasbeswari Kali Temple in Kamalasagar, Sepahijala district. The revamped lodge is expected to be completed in the coming weeks and is anticipated to significantly enhance tourist amenities in the temple precinct.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, along with local MLA and senior officials, visited the site on Tuesday to review the progress of ongoing works. During the inspection, the minister instructed engineers and officials to expedite construction while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Minister Chowdhury stated that strategic investments in modern infrastructure will transform Tripura into a sought-after destination for both domestic and international tourists.

The minister also offered prayers at the Kasbeswari Kali Temple, emphasizing the state’s efforts to promote spiritual tourism alongside heritage conservation.
