Agartala, June 19, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has directed all state departments to adopt targeted, time-bound strategies to achieve the long-term development vision of Viksit Tripura 2047, aligning with the national roadmap of Viksit Bharat 2047 envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chairing a high-level meeting at the state secretariat in Agartala on Wednesday, Dr. Saha emphasized the need for enhanced inter-departmental coordination and citizen involvement to ensure the comprehensive growth of Tripura.
“Each department must operate with measurable goals and monitor progress through regular assessments. Their collective efforts will contribute significantly to the state’s Gross State Domestic Product,” he said.
Highlighting key areas of economic potential, the Chief Minister underscored the need to strengthen tourism infrastructure, promote Tripura’s Queen Pineapple and jackfruit, and scale up production in the agarwood and rubber industries. He also advocated the use of Artificial Intelligence in agriculture to boost productivity and farmers’ income.
“Forest resources must be optimally utilized for economic growth,” Dr. Saha added, calling for innovation in welfare schemes, improved healthcare delivery, quality education, better infrastructure, urban development, and enhanced investment in industry.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha echoed the Chief Minister’s sentiments, urging administrative heads to maximize local resource use, curb unnecessary expenditure, and drive innovation and modernization. He also stressed skill development, financial innovation, and inclusive agricultural participation.
“If Tripura sustains its current development momentum, the goals of Viksit Tripura 2047 are well within reach,” Sinha noted.
During the session, Planning Secretary L.T. Darlong presented a detailed visual report on the state’s development blueprint. Senior bureaucrats from various key departments including Health, Urban Development, Tourism, Education, Revenue and Agriculture were present at the meeting.
