Agartala, October 13, 2022 : Deprived Anganwadi workers of Tripura’s Kadamtala area under Dharmanagar sub-division in North district on Thursday gave deputation against the CDPO at ICDS office in Dharmanagar for lack of action in promote Anganwadi workers to permanent position of their jobs as they have been working as on temporary basis for a long time.
It is noted that the Anganwadi organization run by Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh (BMS) gathered at the office of Kadamtala CDPO Ayan Bhowmik in Padmapur area of Dharmanagar sub-division on Thursday. They claimed that a year has passed since the interviews were conducted for the recruitment process of Anganwadi workers in different parts of the state. Even though the recruitment process has been completed everywhere, the CDPO of Kadamtala has also expressed reluctance and is running a grudge against them.
The temporary Anganwadi workers are vocal about why they have not been appointed even after a year. When they took their demands to CDPO Ayan Bhowmik, he took a hostile attitude towards them. All temporary Anganwadi women workers surrounded Ayan Bhowmik and demanded a positive reply. In such a situation, they gave Ayan Bhowmik an hour and sat in front of the office while talking to the officials.
An hour later, Ayan Bhowmik spoke to the higher officials and assured them that a list of their names would be sent to the Social Welfare and Social Education department on Tuesday next i.e. on October 18 next. Sources claimed that the list of temporary to permanent Anganwadi workers will be published on Wednesday next after receiving the information from the Director.
Finally, the women freed the siege of CDPO. BMS North Tripura district president Subrata Rudra Pal was present in this deputation.
