Agartala, September 24, 2025: The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, has earned national recognition with the prestigious SKOCH Award 2025 under the e-Governance category.
The award was presented at the 102nd SKOCH Summit in New Delhi, held under the theme “Digital Assets of India.” Tripura secured the honor for its Beneficiary Management System (BMS), a digital platform aimed at enhancing transparency, curbing leakages, and ensuring timely delivery of welfare benefits to citizens.
Representing the state at the summit, IT Director Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, showcased how the BMS initiative has transformed governance by eliminating duplication and ensuring that government schemes reach the right beneficiaries without delay.
Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan graced the ceremony and congratulated all winners.
Senior officials from Tripura said the award highlights the state’s growing stature in digital governance and its focus on citizen-friendly innovations. They added that such recognition would inspire the government to expand similar technology-driven solutions across sectors in the future.
