Agartala, May 21, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday announced that the present state government has provided 19,262 jobs so far, including appointments under the die-in-harness scheme.

Speaking at an offer letter distribution ceremony and a blood donation camp at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala, Dr. Saha said the government is actively working to fill existing vacancies and is also creating new posts across departments.

As part of ongoing recruitment drives, 15 newly-appointed Food Inspectors received their appointment letters during the event. The Chief Minister congratulated them and wished them success in their new roles. He further informed that 12 Sub-Inspectors, 3 Fumigation Assistants, 6 Store Keepers, and 35 Store Guards would soon be recruited under the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs department.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to transparency, Dr. Saha said, “Unlike the previous regimes, where offer letters were handed out from party offices, our government ensures that recruitment is strictly merit-based and transparent.”

He also said the process of issuing smart ration cards is underway, and under the Ujjwala Yojana, over 3.68 lakh free LPG connections have been distributed across the state.

Dr. Saha added that the BJP-led government had procured 2.25 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from state farmers at Minimum Support Price, spending Rs. 446 crore, and emphasized the benefits delivered to the public under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

Transport, Food and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury echoed similar sentiments, stating that transparency in recruitment is a cornerstone of the present administration. “The previous government discriminated against meritorious candidates through partisan practices. Today, that has changed.”

Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, along with senior officials from various departments were also present at the event.
