Agartala, June 04, 2025: The Tripura government is poised to sign a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Patanjali Group in a move aimed at accelerating the state’s socio-economic development, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced on Wednesday.
The announcement came following an extensive meeting between the Chief Minister and Dr. Acharya Balkrishna, Secretary General of Patanjali Yogpeeth, along with his team in Agartala. The discussions focused on a wide range of collaborative opportunities across key sectors.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Patanjali Group has shown strong interest in investing in the development of yoga, spiritual tourism, wellness centres, a biodiversity park, and a Fossils Museum in Tripura. Other potential areas of collaboration include skill development, establishment of model schools, digital agriculture, IT, renewable energy, and training for tribal and rural artisans.
Following the meeting, the Chief Minister took to social media to share the news.
“Exciting collaborations ahead! Discussed potential partnership with Dr. Acharya Balkrishna, Secretary General, Patanjali Yogpeeth & team, focusing on yoga, spiritual tourism, wellness, biodiversity, education, and more. Soon, signing an MoU to boost Tripura’s socio-economic growth,” he posted.
Officials indicated that the proposed MoU is likely to be finalized in the coming weeks.
