During routine checking, police recovered 270 bottles of S Cough Syrup from the train. The estimated market value of the seized contraband is over ₹1 lakh.
In a separate operation later that evening, GRP personnel arrested a young woman in possession of 21.49 kilograms of dry cannabis. The contraband was found packed in nine packets concealed inside a trolley bag, which she intended to carry to Delhi.
“A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and she will be produced before the court today,” said OC Tapas Das.
