Agartala, January 24, 2026: As part of the 18th nationwide Rozgar Mela, an employment fair was organized at the Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarters in Shalbagan, Tripura. Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey on Saturday handed over appointment letters to 174 candidates selected for various uniformed services.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Dubey emphasized that the appointment letters were not “mere pieces of paper,” but recognition of the candidates’ hard work and dedication. He urged the youth to contribute to the nation by joining uniformed services and highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering women. Of the 174 recruits, 133 are men and 41 are women.
A total of 99 candidates will join the BSF, 41 will be inducted into the CRPF, 20 will serve in the ITBP, 9 have been selected for the Assam Rifles, and 5 will join the SSB.
Minister Dubey congratulated not only the recruits but also their families, stressing that these jobs should be seen as opportunities for national service rather than just employment. He described the Rozgar Mela as a platform for fulfilling youth aspirations, advancing the vision of a self-reliant India, and strengthening nation-building.
He further noted that the dedication and talent of young people from Tripura, the Northeast, and across India would accelerate the country’s journey in security, service, and development.
