Agartala, May 17, 2025: In a solemn show of gratitude, the Tripura Journalists Union (TJU) held a thanksgiving ceremony on Saturday at the Agartala Press Club, honoring the Indian Army’s valiant efforts in the recently concluded ‘Operation Sindoor’.

The ceremony paid tribute to the military’s unwavering resolve in combating terrorism, with the operation reinforcing India’s firm stance against extremist threats. As part of the homage, floral offerings were placed before portraits of army personnel, symbolizing the collective respect and admiration of a grateful nation.

Speaking at the event, TJU President Pranab Sarkar remembered the innocent civilians who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack, offering heartfelt condolences to their families. He acknowledged the deep sorrow felt across the country and emphasized solidarity with the bereaved.

Sarkar also lauded the Indian Army’s bravery and professionalism during ‘Operation Sindoor’, praising their role in neutralizing threats and maintaining national security. He described the armed forces’ actions as a powerful reminder of India’s resilience and unity in the face of adversity.
