Agartala, August 04, 2025: Aiming financial empowerment of rural women, the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has launched a month-long financial inclusion campaign ‘Samriddhi’ with an ambitious target of disbursing Rs 110 crore in loans within just 30 days.
Launched formally by Abhishek Singh, IAS, Secretary of the Rural Development Department, ‘Samriddhi’ will run from August 1 to 31, 2025. The campaign aims to bring Self-Help Group (SHG) members, particularly women, into the mainstream of enterprise financing and financial security through targeted credit and insurance initiatives.
“This campaign is not just about disbursing loans, but about building livelihoods and empowering our women to become financially independent,” the Secretary Singh stated.
CEO of TRLM Tarit Kanti Chakma highlighted the key activities under ‘Samriddhi’ include systematic credit camps in every block, mobilization of group loans for SHGs, individual enterprise financing under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative and comprehensive orientation of bankers, field staff and Bank Sakhis on credit facilitation. The campaign also emphasizes full insurance linkage for SHG members.
The expected outcome of the campaign is disbursal of at least Rs 100 crore in SHG bank loans and Rs 10 crore in individual enterprise credit. Additionally, the campaign aims to achieve 100% saturation of insurance coverage for SHGs.
With a clear mission to transform August into a month of financial inclusion and growth, ‘Samriddhi’ stands as a significant milestone in the state’s commitment to women-led development.
