Agartala, August 28, 2025: Power, Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday emphasized that students, as the future of the nation, must strive to become not only good learners but also good human beings.

Speaking at Sri Sri Edufest 2025 – Udbhavanam 3.0, organized at Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidyamandir, the Minister highlighted the importance of value-based education. “Students are the future of the country and they should not only be good students but also good human beings,” he said.

Nath praised spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his global contributions. “Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is the living embodiment of peace, compassion and wisdom. Through his teachings, humanitarian works and tireless efforts for global harmony, he has inspired millions across the world. His mission has always been to create a stress-free and violence-free society, which is very important in today’s world,” the Minister remarked.

He stressed that education should awaken human values rather than being limited to information. “The theme of the Edufest is Udbhavanam, which means to inspire intellect, curiosity and creativity. Always remember that the future of the country is decided in its educational institutions,” Nath told the gathering.

Highlighting the role of knowledge in national progress, the Minister added, “The more knowledgeable a country is, the more developed it will become. Currently, competition is going on all over the world and no one is leaving a single space. No matter what the situation is, don’t stop—always move forward.”

During the event, Nath visited an exhibition and interacted with students, encouraging them to carry forward the values of compassion, ethics and responsibility.
