Agartala, November 19, 2025: Animal Resource Development Minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday chaired the state-level second-round review meeting of the department at the Conference Hall of the ARD Office in Gurkhabasti.

Briefing the media after the meeting, the Minister said the review covered key issues such as the fund allocation for the 2025–26 financial year, progress of ongoing projects, status of current initiatives, utilisation of funds received, and additional requirements for ensuring timely completion of schemes.

He said regular monitoring is crucial to enhance accountability and improve execution of departmental programmes. The Minister also informed that the department’s annual vaccination drives were reviewed, with discussions held on their progress and future plans.

The status of the Unnata Godhan Prakalp featured prominently in the meeting, with officials assessing its current implementation and identifying measures to strengthen the scheme.

Summing up the deliberations, Das said the overall functioning of the department was examined in detail. He directed officials to ensure timely completion of projects, smooth delivery of welfare schemes at the doorstep, and improved transparency and efficiency in services provided to beneficiaries.

Secretary Deepa D. Nair, Director Neeraj Kumar Chanchal and senior officials of the department were present during the review.
