Agartala, September 23, 2025: Animal Resources Development and Social Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das today joined a high-level virtual meeting from the Secretariat Conference Hall, which was attended by Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh), Minister of State S.P. Singh Baghel, and senior ARDD officials.

Addressing the session, Minister Das underlined the need for strengthening infrastructure, enhancing productivity, and ensuring greater support for livestock rearers to accelerate the growth of the animal resources sector in Tripura.

“The development of the Animal Resources sector is crucial for food security, livelihood generation, and rural empowerment. Our government is committed to initiatives that will uplift livestock farmers and contribute to the state’s economy,” he stated.

The meeting deliberated on strategies to advance sustainable animal husbandry, expand veterinary services, and provide improved facilities to farmers. It also stressed the significance of modern infrastructure and technology in driving higher productivity and long-term growth in the sector.
