Agartala, August 02, 2025: In a significant stride toward international collaboration in the livestock sector, Tripura’s Animal Resources Development and Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das met with Nigel Bartlett, Vice President of New Zealand-based tech firm Fabrum, at his official residence on Friday.
The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for introducing sustainable and modern technologies in Tripura’s livestock and rural infrastructure sectors. Discussions centred around strategic partnerships that could enhance the state’s agricultural resilience and productivity.
Minister Das extended a warm welcome to Bartlett by presenting him with a traditional handwoven Risha, a symbol of Tripura’s cultural identity, along with a copy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s autobiography, a gesture underscoring both hospitality and ideological alignment.
Speaking after the meeting, Minister Das highlighted the state’s commitment to sustainable development in the livestock sector. He noted that Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, is working to bring about holistic growth in Tripura’s rural economy.
Nigel Bartlett, representing Fabrum, a company known for its innovations in hydrogen energy, cryogenics, and environmental sustainability brings with him global expertise in scalable clean technologies. His visit is seen as a potential springboard for knowledge exchange and collaboration that could benefit sectors ranging from agriculture to energy in Tripura.
