Agartala, February 05, 2026: With the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections in focus, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) convened an important meeting at its headquarters in New Delhi today.
The meeting was attended by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary (organization) K.C. Venugopal, and Tripura legislator Sudip Roy Barman. Senior leaders of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress and organizational heads also participated in the discussions.
According to party sources, the deliberations centered on election strategy, strengthening organizational capacity, and assessing the current political situation in the state.
Congress leadership emphasized consolidating the party’s base in West Bengal and outlined plans to highlight people’s issues and demands through movements and election preparedness.
