Agartala, September 17, 2025: Tripura’s former Chief Minister and current Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday shared his reflections ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, which will be celebrated on Wednesday.

Deb recalled that during his tenure as Chief Minister, he frequently sought advice from Prime Minister Modi, either through personal meetings or official channels. On those occasions, PM Modi advised him to draw inspiration and guidance from the lives and experiences of distinguished personalities, regardless of whether they were political or apolitical.

“From that moment onwards, I made it a principle to follow the teachings and ideologies of such great individuals when making decisions, whether bold or moderate,” Deb said. He added that the outcomes of decisions taken based on this approach were consistently positive.

In a social media post, Deb further shared his appreciation: “I still remember when Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji explained that ‘We should learn from someone big before making big decisions; only then do decisions become meaningful.’ This principle has since become the guiding philosophy of my life. Modi ji taught that humility and continuous learning are the true hallmarks of leadership. Even today, whenever I face a significant decision, this motivation is the first to guide me.”
