Tripura MP Rajib Bhattacharjee inaugurates newly sanctioned Ambulance at NLU Tripura

Agartala, August 16, 2025: A newly sanctioned ambulance was inaugurated at the campus of National Law University (NLU), Tripura, in a ceremony graced by Rajib Bhattacharjee, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Tripura, who also donated the vehicle on Saturday.

Speaking as the chief guest, Bhattacharjee emphasized his commitment to both higher education and healthcare in the state. “The youth of today must become the torchbearers of change and nation-building,” he said, highlighting the vision of Viksit Bharat. He also urged students to remain vigilant against substance abuse. “Drug abuse is a major obstacle to the development of both individuals and the nation,” he remarked, calling upon the gathering to embrace the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

The event was also attended by Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar, Director of Health Services, Government of Tripura, as Guest of Honour. He underlined the importance of the donation, stating, “This ambulance should not be seen merely as a vehicle, but as a vital life-saving resource for the University community.” He further thanked the MP for his generous contribution.

Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and expressed gratitude to the state government. “As the University is in its formative years, continued support will be crucial for the timely completion of the new campus, enabling us to provide world-class facilities to our students,” he said.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. Aparajita Banerjee, Assistant Registrar of NLU Tripura.
