Agartala, January 23, 2026: In a vibrant display of patriotism and reverence, Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan in the capital city on Friday organized a grand procession on the occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Continuing its annual tradition, the school commemorated the day with solemnity and grandeur.

From the early hours of the morning, a festive atmosphere enveloped the school premises. Students, adorned in colorful attire and themed costumes, participated enthusiastically in the procession that began from the school grounds. Themed around historical and patriotic motifs, the procession aimed to highlight Netaji’s ideals and his unwavering spirit of nationalism. Winding through key streets of the city, the march concluded back at the school.
The event was graced by the presence of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, along with other distinguished guests. During the main ceremony held on campus, speakers paid tribute to Netaji’s life, principles, and his indelible contribution to India’s freedom struggle.

“January 23 is not just a date—it is a legacy,” said Chief Minister Dr. Saha. “The people of Agartala eagerly await this day every year. The sight of citizens lining the streets to witness the procession is a matter of pride and joy for the school.”
