Agartala, August 19, 2025: Tripura’s National Health Mission (NHM) Director Saju Vaheed A on Monday visited the Bishramganj Primary Health Center (PHC) to review healthcare services and interact with patients. He was accompanied by NHM Member Secretary Nupur Debbarma, Sepahijala District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Deep Debbarma and Bishramganj PHC Medical Officer-in-Charge Dr. Pooja Deb.

During the visit, the Director spoke with patients admitted at the hospital, listening to their concerns and feedback regarding facilities. Addressing the media, Bahi highlighted that the visit was part of the ‘TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, under which officials are reaching out directly to tuberculosis patients.

Earlier in the day, Vaheed, along with Sepahijala District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, visited households of TB patients in the Bishramganj area. They personally handed over nutritious food kits to the patients, an initiative also supported by elected representatives.

“Sepahijala district performed commendably during the 100-day TB elimination campaign. Now, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, our efforts will continue until the disease is completely eradicated,” Vaheed said.
