Agartala, November 11, 2025: A team of officials from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Guwahati Branch in coordination with Tripura Police conducted a coordinated raid across various locations in Unakoti District in the early hours of Wednesday beginning around 3 am.
According to intelligence inputs, the operation targeted two suspects allegedly involved in a fake document racket. The individuals have been identified as Paritosh Shil (45), son of Putul Ch. Shil, a resident of Bhagyapur, Ward No. 3, under Kailashahar Police Station, and Ranu Pal (42) of Nidevi area under Kumarghat Police Station.
“Preliminary evidence indicates that both suspects were engaged in the preparation of forged documents,” an official source said. However, no arrests have been made so far. The search and investigation are continuing under the supervision of senior NIA and district police officials.
Authorities said further inquiries are underway to trace the wider network linked to the alleged forgery racket operating in the region.
