Agartala, March 25, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening policing standards and professional excellence, Tripura Police has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, aimed at enhancing capacity building and skill development of its personnel.
RRU, an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will extend support to Tripura Police in the areas of advanced training, research, and knowledge exchange initiatives. The collaboration is expected to equip police personnel with modern policing techniques, strategic insights, and updated operational skills to meet emerging challenges.
The MoU was formally signed on Tuesday in a virtual mode by Director General of Police, Tripura, Anurag, and Pro Vice Chancellor of RRU, Kalpesh H Wandra.
Officials stated that this partnership will open avenues for specialized courses, joint research programmes, and exposure to best practices in internal security and law enforcement. The initiative is also expected to promote innovation-driven policing and strengthen institutional collaboration between Tripura Police and RRU.
The agreement marks a progressive move towards building a more skilled, adaptive, and future-ready police force in the state.
