Agartala, Jan 29: Tripura royal scion and political leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarman delivered a message of love and unity, urging people to replace hatred with compassion. Speaking at an e-rickshaw distribution ceremony organized by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Debbarman said he would strive to transform political hostility into goodwill.
The event, aimed at promoting self-reliance among unemployed youth, saw the distribution of 161 e-rickshaws. TTAADC Chief Executive Member Purna Chandra Jamatia, Executive Members Brishaketu Debbarman and Kamal Koloi, MLA Ranjit Debbarman, and other council officials were present. Debbarman’s mother, Bibhukumari Devi, also attended the program.

Addressing journalists, Debbarman emphasized that he does not wish to spread hatred against anyone. Without naming the BJP, he remarked that political interests often lead to divisive rhetoric, but he intends to counter such negativity with love.

On employment initiatives, Debbarman announced that another 1,600 auto-rickshaws will soon be distributed to boost livelihood opportunities for tribal youth. He added that the ADC is taking multiple steps for development, including cold storage facilities for farmers, passenger vehicles to support tourism, and other employment-generating projects.
Rejecting claims that the ADC is lagging in development, Debbarman asserted that such statements are misleading. “We are committed to creating opportunities and ensuring progress in rural areas,” he said, assuring continued efforts for the welfare of Tripura’s tribal communities.
