Agartala, November 01, 2025: Tipra Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Friday hinted at the formation of a common platform of regional parties across the North East, stating that a formal announcement would be made within the next three days.

In a social media address, Pradyot revealed that he has been in talks with several regional parties and emphasized that unity among the North Eastern states is essential for their collective voice to be heard at the national level.

“The Centre will take us seriously only when we stop fighting each other and unite under one voice. If we come together, we can solve half of our problems. If divided, we will gain nothing,” Pradyot said, asserting that a major decision would be revealed soon.

Expressing deep concern over developments in Bangladesh, he cautioned that the next general election there could lead to the formation of an anti-India government, which might impact India’s bordering states — particularly Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura.

Pradyot alleged that Pakistan’s Brigadiers and Generals have been present in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, reportedly under the guise of providing medical assistance, which he described as a “dangerous signal.” He further claimed that fake Bangladeshi ID cards involving certain Tripura leaders were part of a conspiracy that ultimately benefits Bangladesh.

Emphasizing that national security transcends political divisions, Pradyot said, “At this time, CPIM, BJP, and Tipra Motha are not important — the protection of our people is. The North East is in danger, and our unity is the need of the hour.”

He warned that hatred and misinformation spreading on social media are part of a larger game to destabilize the region, urging all communities to rise above politics to safeguard national interests.
