Agartala, February 23, 2026: The Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles organised an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally cum Medical Camp on February 22, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and well-being of veterans and their families.

A total of 144 participants attended the programme, including 107 Ex-Servicemen, 12 widows and 25 family members. The rally provided a dedicated platform for veterans to interact directly with officials and voice their concerns. Key issues raised during the interactive session included difficulties related to Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) facilities, lack of awareness about Defence Salary Package (DSP) pension accounts, and problems associated with Canteen Cards.

Officials present at the rally offered guidance and on-the-spot assistance to address several grievances and assured the veterans that necessary follow-up action would be taken with the concerned authorities to ensure timely resolution.

As part of the initiative, a medical camp was also organised to provide essential healthcare services to Ex-Servicemen and their dependents, underscoring the Force’s focus on both administrative support and medical care.

The rally was conducted under the motto, “You served with honour, we honour your service.” The initiative conveyed a strong message that Assam Rifles remains steadfast in standing by its veterans, recognising their sacrifices and continuing to support them even after their years of active service.
