Agartala, May 29, 2026: The Higher Education Department of the Tripura government has completed all necessary arrangements for the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the re-conduct of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination scheduled to be held on June 21 across the state.

According to a press note issued by the department on Friday, the arrangements have been made in coordination with the National Testing Agency (NTA), district administrations, Tripura Police and other concerned agencies to ensure a fair examination process.

Secretary of the Higher Education Department and State Nodal Officer for NEET (UG) 2026, Raval Hemendra Kumar, said that the state government has put in place a comprehensive monitoring and coordination mechanism in line with NTA guidelines. For this purpose, the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) and District Level Coordination Committees (DLCCs) have been constituted to oversee all examination-related activities.

He informed that approximately 4,500 candidates are expected to appear from West Tripura district and around 200 candidates from Dhalai district. A total of 10 examination centres have been identified, including nine centres in West Tripura and one centre in Dhalai.

Kumar stated that extensive security and administrative measures have been arranged at all centres. These include deployment of police personnel, multi-stage frisking of candidates, CCTV surveillance, monitoring by NTA-appointed observers and flying squads, installation of jammers, and secure transportation and handling of confidential examination materials.

The Secretary further said that nodal officers have been appointed for each examination centre to provide necessary support and ensure seamless coordination among the district administration, police department, NIC, centre superintendents and NTA officials.

Candidates have been advised to reach their respective examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards and strictly follow all instructions issued by the NTA. Guardians have also been urged to cooperate with the administration and avoid crowding near examination venues.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, Kumar said that Tripura remains dedicated to maintaining the sanctity, transparency and fairness of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination.
