Agartala, August 14, 2025: Various types of postal courts will be conducted at the regional level on September 17 at the Office of the Postmaster General, North-East–1, in Agartala. According to the Assistant Director of the Postmaster General’s North-East–1 Regional Office, the initiative aims to address service-related grievances and departmental matters in a time-bound manner.

As per the schedule, the Staff Court will commence at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Pension Court at 12:00 p.m., the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Court at 1:00 p.m., and the Postal Court at 3:00 p.m. While the Postal Court will handle complaints related to public postal services, the Staff, Pension, and GDS courts will exclusively consider issues pertaining to departmental employees.

Residents and employees can submit written complaints to the respective courts at the address: Postmaster General, North-Eastern Region, Agartala – 799001. Submissions can be made via regular post, speed post, or email. Complaints must include full details such as the complainant’s complete address, registration receipt number, and, in cases related to savings schemes or postal life insurance, the account number and the depositor/insurer’s address.

All written complaints must reach the office by 4:30 p.m. on September 15. Complaints received after the deadline will be addressed through normal procedures.

The postal authorities have urged the public and staff to utilize this opportunity for swift resolution of their concerns.
