Agartala, December 9, 2025: Tripura is set for a major rural push as the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has launched a comprehensive ₹105-crore package of livelihood schemes aimed at expanding entrepreneurship across villages.

At a training programme held in Agartala in collaboration with The Nudge Institute, TRLM CEO Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, said the new initiatives mark a shift from traditional subsistence support to long-term sustainability. He noted that the mission seeks to build resilient, self-reliant communities capable of generating their own economic momentum.

Under the flagship Project TRIPTI, more than 4,000 households across Ambassa, Ganganagar and Dasda blocks have already received business assets, financial services and market linkages. Meanwhile, the CM Nabadisha Abhiyan recently launched by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and the upcoming Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana are expected to widen the mission’s coverage among tribal, Scheduled Caste and other vulnerable families in remote pockets.

Preparations are also underway for the Saras Mela scheduled for mid-December, where thousands of women from Self-Help Groups will exhibit handicrafts, food items and locally developed products, highlighting the rising economic participation of rural women.

Additionally, TRLM has introduced Samriddhi 2.0, a credit campaign targeting loan sanctions worth ₹181 crore within 40 days. This follows the successful Samriddhi 1.0, which facilitated access to ₹198 crore in credit for SHG members.

Officials said Tripura’s integrated model linking credit support, skills training, enterprise development and digital tools is positioning the state as an emerging leader in rural innovation, with villages increasingly becoming centres of opportunity rather than beneficiaries of assistance.
