Agartala, February 21, 2026: The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has earned national-level recognition for its flagship financial inclusion initiative ‘Samriddhi’, with its impactful outcomes being showcased at a Central Level Coordination Conclave held in Hyderabad.
Highlighting the success of the campaign, TRLM Chief Operating Officer Dipayan Ghosh delivered a detailed presentation at the conclave, outlining how the mission strengthened credit linkages between banks and Self Help Groups (SHGs), popularly known as SHG didis, across Tripura.
The Samriddhi campaign was implemented in two structured phases with a strong focus on financial inclusion and access to institutional credit. Samriddhi 1.0, launched in August, ran for 37 days, while Samriddhi 2.0, conducted in December, continued for 45 days. During both phases, extensive outreach activities were undertaken with banking institutions and SHGs to facilitate loan sanctions and improve credit flow at the grassroots level.
As a result of these focused efforts, TRLM successfully achieved loan sanctions amounting to an impressive ₹450.06 crore under the two campaigns combined. Of this, ₹198.44 crore was sanctioned during Samriddhi 1.0, while ₹251.43 crore was sanctioned during Samriddhi 2.0, reflecting a significant scaling up of financial access for rural women-led SHGs.
Officials noted that the national recognition underscores TRLM’s effective planning, coordinated execution, and commitment to empowering rural livelihoods through sustainable financial inclusion. The initiative has been hailed as a model for other states seeking to enhance SHG-bank linkage programs and promote inclusive economic growth.
