Tripura Students Shine at National Youth Leadership Dialogue

Agartala, January 21, 2026: Tripura has earned national acclaim as three students from the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsingarh Anjita Paul, Himadrita Das and Janmajoy Das secured the second position in the prestigious “Design for Bharat” track at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026.

The event, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from January 9 to 12, marked the grand finale of one of India’s largest youth engagement programs. More than 50 lakh young participants took part in the nationwide selection process, with 1,500 finalists presenting their ideas on building a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the closing ceremony, which featured thematic sessions, competitions, and interactions with domain experts, ISRO astronauts, and sports icons. The initiative was hailed as a landmark platform for youth leadership and innovation.

Tripura’s achievement drew praise from Minister for Power, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ratan Lal Nath, who congratulated the trio: “Heartfelt congratulations to Anjita Paul, Himadrita Das, and Janmajoy Das for their remarkable achievement. Their creativity and dedication reflect the spirit of a progressive India and have brought immense pride to Tripura.”

The recognition not only highlights the talent emerging from Tripura but also underscores the state’s growing contribution to India’s developmental vision.
