Tripura Teacher Bidisha Majumder Selected for National Teachers’ Award 2025

Agartala, August 26, 2025: Bidisha Majumder, a teacher of Hariananda English Medium Higher Secondary School in Gomati district, has been chosen for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2025.

The award ceremony will be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on September 5 to mark Teachers’ Day. Majumder is among 45 teachers from across the country selected for the honour. Each awardee will receive a certificate of merit, a silver medal, and a cash prize of ₹50,000.

President Droupadi Murmu will confer the awards at the national-level event. Boarding and lodging for the awardees have been arranged at a hotel in the capital.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended his greetings, stating, “Heartiest congratulations to Bidisha Majumdar of Hariananda English Medium Higher Secondary School, Gomati District, Tripura, on being selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2025. This remarkable achievement will surely inspire both students and teachers, encouraging them to pursue excellence in the field of education.”
