Agartala, September 12, 2025: A 15-year-old girl from Khowai district, Arya Deb, has made her hometown proud by earning a place in the prestigious Indian Book of Records.

Arya, a resident of Joynagar in Teliamura and currently a Class-X student of Bhavans Tripura Vidya Mandir, Agartala, achieved the honour by creating a portrait of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar in a remarkably short time.

Having completed her education up to Class VIII in Teliamura before shifting to Agartala, Arya has been nurturing her passion for painting alongside academics. Her dedication to fine arts has now brought her national recognition.

The young artist’s exceptional sketch of Lata Mangeshkar has drawn widespread admiration. As the news spread, Teliamura was filled with pride and joy, with well-wishers from all sections of society showering Arya with congratulations and blessings for her future endeavours.
