Agartala, August 06, 2025: A serious incident of alleged misbehaviour with a female passenger aboard a moving bus has triggered widespread unrest in Tripura’s Bishramganj area. The situation escalated rapidly on Tuesday evening after the bus in question was stopped and vandalized by agitated locals at the Bishramganj Motor Stand.

It is reported that the enraged crowd seized the vehicle following the incident, demanding immediate action against the accused. As news of the incident spread, tension gripped the entire area, prompting the deployment of a large contingent of police and CRPF personnel to prevent further escalation.

Senior officials, including the Superintendent of Police, rushed to the scene to assess the situation and restore order. DIG Manchak Ipper along with large force of police personnel have also been dispatched from Agartala as a precautionary measure.

The identity of the accused and the condition of the victim have not yet been officially disclosed. Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway and appropriate action will be taken.
