Agartala, October 27, 2025: The Tripura Teachers’ Recruitment Board (TRBT) has declared the long-awaited results of the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) — Paper I and Paper II — for the academic year 2024–25, bringing relief to thousands of aspiring teachers. Over 2,000 unemployed youth have successfully cleared the examination.

However, despite the announcement of results, the TRBT has yet to issue certificates to the successful candidates, sparking widespread frustration and concern among them.

On Monday morning, a group of TET-qualified candidates gathered at the TRBT office in Agartala and met the Board Chairman, demanding the immediate release of their certificates. They stated that without these certificates, they are unable to apply for upcoming teacher recruitment drives.

“The delay is unjustified. Without certificates, we cannot participate in the recruitment process,” said one of the candidates, expressing discontent over the uncertainty.

The candidates further alleged that several government and aided schools across the state are facing a severe shortage of teachers, affecting students’ education. They claimed that the number of TET-qualified candidates is far less than the total vacancies and urged the government to appoint all passers at once.

They demanded swift government intervention to strengthen the education system and address the growing unemployment crisis in the state. The candidates warned that if the certificate distribution and recruitment process are not initiated soon, they will launch a larger agitation in the coming days.
