Tripura: Three Killed as Bolero Collides with Agartala–Silchar Train

Agartala, November 20, 2025: Three people were tragically killed on Thursday when a goods-laden Bolero vehicle collided with the Agartala–Silchar passenger train at a level crossing in Sindhu Kumar Para under Longtharai Valley subdivision.

Local sources informed that the Bolero was attempting to cross the railway tracks when the speeding train rammed into it. The impact was so severe that the driver and two others died instantly at the scene.

Police and railway officials rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and began rescue operations. The bodies have been sent to Manu Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The accident has cast a pall of grief over the area. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether lapses in safety measures at the railway crossing contributed to the tragedy.
