Agartala, November 20, 2025: A Tipra Motha party office in Jiraniakhola was reduced to ashes after a devastating fire broke out late Wednesday night. Local leaders have alleged that the incident was a deliberate act of sabotage, claiming the blaze was planned to target the party’s presence in the area.
Witnesses reported that the office suddenly caught fire in the dead of night, with flames engulfing the structure within moments. The intensity of the blaze left the building completely destroyed before any response could be made.
On Thursday afternoon, local MLA Swapna Debbarma visited the site to assess the damage. She was accompanied by party leaders and workers, who interacted with affected members and inspected the charred remains of the office.
The incident comes against the backdrop of growing tensions between the ruling party and its ally, Tipra Motha. In recent weeks, clashes and allegations of attacks between supporters of both sides have surfaced across several areas. Political observers believe the latest fire may also be linked to this escalating conflict.
